Hello to my new site! I've decided to change the name to reflect a more inclusive style of publication: a little more upbeat, a little more risque, a little more of "me." Though not at daring as More Chitlins, the subject matter here will address today's concerns. However, there will still be time to smell the roses.
Relax, unwind, enjoy!

Ho, Ho, Ho! It's that time of year to spread some cheer! Well, something like that. Been busy printing photos for my wall; seasonal of course. Not too many "Christmas-style" types as I don't want to turn around and have to change them come December 26.
I have also included poems which reflect a holiday spirit, but not specifically in regards to Christmas. Reflective of the spirit and soul of winter, which of course includes Christmas. New photos, too.
So please enjoy your winter: including the holidays which fall within winter. ![]()

I've been busy finishing my second book, one which I hadn't anticipated creating. Found a photo book contest a few days ago, and have been in a rush to complete my entry before the deadline. I'll be submitting in the animals/pets category. I finally completed it day before yesterday, and now I'm awaiting the proofing copy to come in the mail. I hope I win a prize but even if I don't, creating my latest book has encouraged me to create the third.

This indeed is one of my better times of the year. When it's cool outside, I often become inspired to write. I've got several books needing the final finish applied to them. With the sun tucked behind the clouds, I have not excuse not to accomplish that task.
Also looking forward to next month. I love autumn with all the colors. I'm planning a road trip to Leavenworth to take in the fall colors. If you've never been there, you don't know what you're missing! Vibrant, firey colors of gold, red, and bronze mingled with the evergreens. Beautiful. I'll make sure to post photographs when I shoot them.
Many projects I have planned. Along with a cup of my favorite beverage, I'll get 'em done.

What a summer! It's been an uncomfortable season here in the northwest, with our trees, plants, and shrubs being stressed from the continual dry, hot weather. To bring on the autumn, I have included a "coolness" raindance of sorts, with a few poems that remind me of damp and gray...quiet and solitude. All things autumn!
I've also been busily compiling another book of poetry to be released in the wet of next spring; to celebrate it's arrival. More details as I get closer to publishing. In the meantime, I've been taking lots of photos which I hope you'll enjoy. These pictures will be grouped into a collection of photos in the near future, so make sure to keep an eye out!
Take care, I've got some hard work to do.

Strange how people can float in and out of your lives. Some by choice; others not. But all hold a certain seat on your raft which drifts down river.
I've had a several friends and associates come and go, and for whatever reasons, we meet again. There's an ex-school mate of mine who continually sends e-mail "forwards." I hate these because they do not offer any form of real communication; however, I think the person who sends them honestly figures they are "communicating," even on a shallow level.
And then there are those who drift around the periphery, on the outside looking in, so to speak. Instead of re-establishing communication, they have their own raft to watch how you're paddling your own boat. Kind of creepy, I must say. Almost voyeuristic in nature. Makes you wonder what's roaming through their heads if they don't at least say "hi." Like peeking through drawn curtains.
In any case, all how have and will pass through my life in one capacity or another will always be remembered, for the good or bad. It's hard for me to hold malice against someone who I like/loved in the past IF we parted on good terms. Though I'm good-hearted, I never be friends with this person, however, I will at least be friendly.
So to all you drifters out there; don't expect life to stand still while you're away. Our rafts keep a-drifting down river...and you may not be able to catch up with it.

I've just recently returned to Disneyland with my daughters. I wanted to go do so impromptu riding, but the girls would have no part of it! Said they didn't want to be around any snivering kids, no less. (LOL) Oh well, we had a lovely time in California by just driving from Los Angeles down to Anaheim. We did some mad shopping in the Fashion District, went to the ocean, spent some quality time with just the three of us. I took pictures of lots of desert plants, along with other spectacles of the human sort. Heading to Las Vegas soon; wonder what I'll see there!

I've had a few very sucessful days shooting pictures for both "sides." The ones shot for elusive dragonfly are filled with beautiful spring-time pictures capturing the essence of the changing season. The pictures for rainwriter? A little darker in character, a little moodier, but none the less exciting to shoot.
It's hard for me to fathom how any one can be one-sided. Is it just me? Or do others choose to live on one side of themselves, and bury the other "character" because it is so much different than the image they want to present?
I've never been one for feigning something I'm not. I'm at least TWO people...and counting!
